I'm not really sure why, but I feel elated. :) Sarah is texting me right now, I just finished orientation at my new job, and Stander is coming over to hang out with me at my place. Also...my earlier blog post about success and networking with people. . . well it turns out that I'm doing a good job of that. Today, at orientation I met a woman, who's husband is involved with Civil Engineering. She and I talked for about 5 minutes about it, and she gave me her husband's name and phone number, saying that if I want to, I could call him and he and I could meet up sometime.
There's a recent addition to my prospective playmates, Breman, who is a gymnastics coach. She emailed me just a few minutes ago, commenting on how much we have in common on our dating profiles. I too, enjoy gymnastics, and I'm currently training myself to do this:
It's fucking hard. It really is. I developed a ganglion cyst in my left wrist from doing stuff like this back in 2007. I just got the cyst surgically removed a month or so ago and so it got really sore last week so I had to stop training. I got some pvc piping and a hacksaw to build a little set of planche bars to use at home because my wrist can't handle flexing back like that.
Maybe if I hook up with Breman, we could help each other out with our gymnastics stuff. Anyways, that's all for this blog post. Stander should be here soon and I've probably got another email from Breman to reply to :D
