Mistakes

Knowing history helps us to be better prepared for the future. Some guy said that.

Anyways the same is true for mistakes- well, mistakes that we learn from. I guess that's the beauty of getting older. When we get old, we (hopefully) develop the hindsight to look back at our life. Cultivating a history that's rich with mistakes helps us plot and carry out a course for our future.

The problems we face in life strip us of our naivety. Once we've learned our lesson, we've been armed.

We can always quote others and say things like "It's better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all" or "Finish what you start" but it's just not the same as having the history to back it up.
