He starts moving lighter on his feet, bouncing slightly, his knees bent, almost like it's a dance where he's trying to take the lead. I remain more firm, and the next thing I realize is that he is now circling me. We decide it's time to close the gap, so we approach one another, I immediately fall down on my knees and reach around his legs.
He expects as much and grapples around the back of my head. I pull my arms together, thrust my shoulder into his gut, and lift off my right leg, throwing him down. I've gone over this before, so I slide up on top of him, lock my legs around his and spread my upper body out. He can't get out of the grip. I'm pinning him down tight. He allows all of this, with moderated resistance.
I take a moment to recapture my thoughts. To stop the blur and actually think about what I'm going to do next. I try to replay the moves in my mind but it takes off in a blur again, so I just go for it, and my body itself remembers the moves. I grab his right wrist with my right hand, plant my left foot on the ground and swim over him, reach under his arm with my left and grab my right wrist. It's called a kamora. I torque his arm back and he taps on my body.
"Good job, try to slow it down next time. We don't want to rush it, it's just about learning the flow of it."
It's been fun so far. I've been learning a lot of practical moves and Jordon is a great instructor.
